What Hall of FUT is (and is not)

• Automatically stronger than every promo card of the same OVR

Inaugural class (July 23, 2026)

EA revealed five inductees for the opening class:

EA has stated more inductees will arrive later in the cycle. Special versions of Hall of FUT players may also appear through Campaigns separate from Base Token Store items.

Ultimate Plus Player Pick (through August 31, 2026)

The Ultimate Plus Edition includes a Hall of FUT (1 of 5) Direct Player Pick covering the inaugural class above. Key rules from EA’s editions FAQ:

• Ultimate Plus is an early-bird SKU available 23 July – 31 August 2026
• Ultimate Plus is not sold on Nintendo platforms or the Epic Games Store
• You cannot upgrade Ultimate → Ultimate Plus later
• The pick is untradeable marketing content tied to Ultimate Plus ownership

Gallery Tokens and the Token Store

The August 2 FUT Deep Dive explains how Hall of FUT connects to long-term Gallery progression:

1. Fill themed Gallery Sets (nations, leagues, clubs, campaigns, custom themes).
2. Grade completed Sets for cosmetics, Gallery Tokens, and other rewards.
3. Spend Tokens in the Gallery Token Store on kits, badges, identity rewards, and Hall of FUT historical items.
4. Raise Gallery Level milestones for larger payouts, including chances at Holographic presentation items.

Loan Items do not contribute to Gallery Sets. Evolution Items count as their base Item before entering an Evo. Items you sold or SBC’d can still contribute to Sets—Hall of FUT collecting rewards remembering your Club history, not only your current XI.

Base vs special Hall of FUT versions

Community briefings based on EA’s Gallery rewards messaging distinguish:

• Base Hall of FUT — Token Store exclusive path for collecting inaugural / seasonal inductees without buying Ultimate Plus
• Special / Campaign Hall of FUT — Themed upgrades released through live Campaigns during the year
• Ultimate Plus Player Pick — Launch-window shortcut outside the Token grind

Until EA publishes exact Token prices and Campaign calendars, plan for multiple acquisition lanes rather than assuming one pack or one SBC will cover every inductee.

How Hall of FUT fits squad building

Use Hall of FUT like Heroes with stronger nostalgia branding:

• Chemistry and Roles still matter—do not force Akinfenwa into a meta that needs a false nine unless you enjoy the meme
• Gallery Set Tags can reward mixing Gold, Campaign, and historical items—Hall of FUT may help grade Sets even when they leave your active squad
• Holographic variants (if any Hall of FUT items become eligible) change presentation score contribution, not base Attributes

Closed Beta testing checklist

1. Search Gallery filters for Hall of FUT rarity / item type labels.
2. Open Token Store (if present) and screenshot Hall of FUT reward slots.
3. Verify Ultimate Plus pick UI is not available in beta unless EA explicitly enables it—pre-order entitlements usually unlock at early access.
4. Confirm sold/SBC’d cards still contribute to Sets that mention historical tiers.
5. File feedback with build ID if Hall of FUT tags break Set grading math.

Remember: beta progress does not carry to retail. Learning the systems beats farming Hall of FUT Tokens that will reset.

Before August 31: Decide whether Ultimate Plus’s Player Pick is worth the SKU versus waiting for Token Store Base items.
